Walnut Street Couple Charged as Drug Dealers

Emmaus Police found heroin, cocaine, scales and packing materials in couple's apartment, District Attorney says.

An Emmaus couple was charged this week with numerous drug offenses resulting from a four-week investigation by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and Emmaus police, according to a press release from the Lehigh County DA’s office.

Tasha Amanda Salsbury, 36, and her husband, Kevin Christopher Salsbury, 34, both of 625 Walnut St., Apartment 1, Emmaus, are charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine, possession of controlled substances and conspiracy to deliver controlled substances.

According to an affidavit of probable cause for arrest filed by an Emmaus police officer who is a member of the Drug Task Force, a June 20 search of the couple’s apartment uncovered the following:

  • More than one ounce of loose heroin
  • An ounce of cocaine
  • Ecstasy
  • Drug paraphernalia, and packaging materials, including baggies, scales, syringes and measuring spoons.

Joseph P. Stauffer, chief detective of the Drug Task Force, said police also seized $1,700.

The couple was arraigned on Thursday and they remain in Lehigh County Prison.
