Vera Cruz Hill Site of Another Accident

Kutztown woman injured as truck rolls over after leaving roadway.

A hill near Vera Cruz that days earlier was the scene of an accident because of icy roads, was the site of another crash on Tuesday for unknown reasons, according to police.

Sally A. Adam, 27, of Kutztown was injured about 5 p.m. on Vera Cruz Road near Quarry Drive in Upper Milford Township, according to state police at Fogelsville. Her Ford Ranger was southbound on Vera Cruz Road when it crossed the center line, spun across the northbound lane and ran off the roadway. The truck continued about 30 feet off the roadway into a ditch and overturned before coming to rest back on its wheels.

Police noted the roads were icy, but did not tie the cause of the action to the road condition. They did not note that any other vehicles were involved.
