Upper Milford Thefts Reported

Methods vary from use of credit card to removal from residence.

Two Upper Milford Township residents reported thefts on Thursday -- one by means of modern technology and the other the old-fashioned way.

In one, a 55-year-old woman with an unspecified township address reported about $1,600 of unauthorized purchases were charged to her credit card between Feb. 20 and Tuesday, according to state police at Fogelsville. The incident is being investigated as a case of access device fraud.

In the second, a 45-year-old female reported money and several jewelry items missing -- totaling $1,250, police said. She said the theft occurred between Jan. 15 and Thursday from her unspecified Beck Road address.  The incident is classified as theft by unlawful taking.
