Truck With Snowplow Reported Stolen in Upper Milford

Although the vehicle was inoperable, police say, someone managed to steal it.

A truck equipped with a snowplow that hadn't been used in years apparently was very appealing to someone who made off with it last month from an Upper Milford Township property, according to police.

Paul Saprio of Walnutport reported that someone stole his blue Chevrolet Trailblazer with a yellow snowplow attached, according to . The truck, which was unable to be driven and had been parked at 4580 Chestnut St. for several years, was taken between Nov. 14 and 28. No value was given on the truck and snowplow.

Another theft was reported Dec. 6 at 6433 St. Peter's Road. In this case, an 18-foot boat trailer was taken, police said.

The silver trailer with red fenders had a Pennsylvania registration of XP24657, police said. It was in woods next to the residence and is owned by Francis H. Near of 900 Mickley Road, Apt. It-4, Whitehall Township. The trailer likely was taken between Oct. 17 and 30.

Police also said the Lehigh County Authority reported Nov. 22 that rocks damaged windows and vents to a building in the 4400 block of Far View Court. No value was given to the damage.
