Police: Driver Unhurt Despite Striking Pole

Zionsville man failed to round a curve, causing the crash, troopers report.

A Zionsville man was fortunate not to be hurt recently when his car failed to round a curve and crashed into a utility pole, police said.

Andrew J. Keller, 22, was eastbound on Shimerville Road in Upper Milford Township at 5:03 p.m. Dec. 26 just east of the intersection with Chestnut Street, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Keller went straight instead of rounding the curve, and his 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt struck the utility pole near 5314 Shimerville Road, police said. The impact caused disabling damage to his car, requiring towing.
