Spackling Knife, Cell Phone Weapons in Dispute, Cops Say

Both individuals cited for harassment at Upper Milford home, troopers report.

The weapons in a recent duel at an Upper Milford Township home were neither swords nor pistols.

Instead, state police at Fogelsville reported that a man and woman were cited for threatening each other with a cell phone and spackling knife.

It was not immediately clear, according to police-released information, what started a dispute in the 4000 block of Miller Avenue about 8:40 p.m. Saturday. But police reported that Vincent David Longo, 51, made threatening gestures with a spackling knife. Pattie Ann Bowman, 47, responded by striking Longo in the face with a cell phone, police said.

Both were cited for harassment, police said. Charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Donna Butler of Emmaus.

Seriously? They're acting like they're 15 not 50! How sad. Hope there weren't any kids at home who had to watch this shameful behavior.
