Police: Marijuana, pipes found in station wagon

Charges pending following traffic stop at Chestnut and Cedar Crest in Emmaus.


State police found a bag of marijuana and two pipes in a 1993 Chevrolet station wagon they stopped early Saturday in Emmaus for having a headlight out.

Police said charges are pending against the driver, Cory M. Haverstock, 27, of Allentown.

Trooper Stephen M. DeAngeles stopped Haverstock at 1:44 a.m. at Chestnut Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard in the western end of the borough, police said.

A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the car, where police found one plastic bag of marijuana, one multicolored glass pipe with marijuana residue, and one glass and metal pipe with marijuana residue, police said. The trooper issued a written warning for the faulty headlight.
