Emmaus driver could not avoid striking the motorcycle and its driver, troopers report.

A Quakertown area man was killed late Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle slid into the path of another driver in Lower Macungie Township, according to police.

An Emmaus driver could not avoid hitting the motorcycle and its driver, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Kevin P. O'Donnell, 21, was riding his motorcycle westbound on Indian Creek Road at 5:19 p.m. when he lost control of the bike, police said. The accident occurred about 75 yards west of 4200 Indian Creek Road.

The motorcycle slid onto its side and into the eastbound lane, police said. John O. Stover Jr., 60, of Emmaus could not avoid running over O'Donnell and the motorcycle with his Ford Explorer. Stover was not charged.

O'Donnell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lehigh County Coroner's Office, police said.
