An Emmaus man is accused of punching and hitting his aunt late Friday night at his borough apartment, police say.

According to court records, the woman told police that her nephew by marriage, Christopher Lane Kneedler, 26, assaulted her around 11:30 p.m. at his residence—408 Chestnut St., Apt. 1.

She said Kneedler punched and struck her several times in the arms, face and chest. She suffered several bruises to her face and arms and complained of chest and neck pain, the records say.

Police interviewed the woman the following afternoon at her borough residence, the records say.

Kneedler was arraigned at 4 p.m. Sunday by on-duty District Judge Wayne Maura of Bethlehem on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
