Douglas F. Hall, 75, of Macungie was traveling north on Route 100 July 24 when the driver's front-side tire fell off his car as he rounded a turn, police said. The tire struck the bumper and hood area of an oncoming car driven by Lisa P. Gergar, 51, also of Macungie. Gergar was headed southbound near Beck Road about 10:20 a.m.

Police reported minor damage to Gergar's vehicle and did not specify damage to Hall's.
