Internet Schemer Employs Illegal Tactics

Upper Milford woman loses $2,500 in attempt to secure job, police say.

Finding a job can be hard enough these days without a prospective "employer" picking your pocket besides.

That's what happened to an Upper Milford woman who thought she was working toward getting a job, according to .

Police did not detail the scheme but said Ashley Lynn Martel, 21, of 6393 Chestnut St., lost $2,500 over the course of three weeks in trying to obtain a job via the Internet. She reported the incident Aug. 17.
