Hit-run Driver Sought in Vera Cruz Accident

Woman slightly hurt trying to avoid crash, but other motorist drives off, police say.

are looking for a man involved in a hit-and-run accident May 19 in Upper Milford Township.

The man's vehicle struck that of Jessica Roy of Emmaus in the 4700 block of Vera Cruz Road about 4:10 p.m., police said.

Police said the man's vehicle, an older model Ford Crown Victoria, was leaving a parking lot and attempting to enter the northbound lane of Vera Cruz Road. He pulled out in front of Roy's vehicle, which was headed north.

Roy swerved to avoid an accident and slid on the wet roadway into a utility pole, police said. The man in the other car drove off. His only description was an estimated age of 30s or 40s, and the color of his car was not given.

Police said Roy received a minor injury. Her Ford Explorer received moderate front-end damage.
