Flat Tire Blamed for Collision with Guardrail, Police Say

Zionsville woman is unhurt despite her car hitting the guardrail, troopers report.

A Zionsville driver had a lot going against her recently, but she was fortunate nonetheless not to be injured in an accident in Upper Milford Township, according to police.

Janice L. Snyder, 72, was driving northbound on Powder Valley Road in heavy rain at 10:05 a.m. Feb. 27, according to state police at Fogelsville. As if the wet roadway wasn't enough to handle, Snyder's front passenger-side tire blew out as she rounded a curve beyond Woodland Drive.

She lost control of her Ford Focus and struck a guardrail with her front passenger-side bumper and quarter panel, police said. She traveled an additional 50 feet before stopping.

Snyder was uninjured in the crash, police said.

I am concerned. Emmaus is a part of your constituency and to the best of my knowledge you have notRead More had a Town Hall Meeting or any public meeting in this area. Why? Safety is as important in Lehigh County as in other counties and programs such as this should be made available to everyone.
