Final Suspect in KNBT Robbery Faces Judge

Isaah J. Sampson, 22, of 903 N. Front St., Allentown is having a hearing this morning for his alleged involvement with the Emmaus KNBT Bank robbery Dec. 30.

At 10:40 this morning, Isaah J. Sampson, 22, of Allentown, was escorted to a courtroom in the Lehigh County Courthouse for a preliminary hearing. He faces charges that he participated in the Dec. 30 bank robbery of KNBT Bank in Emmaus.

Also charged are Hishamu T. Curry, 35, of Philadelphia and Edward Anthony Maye, also known as Andre Sheppard, 32, of 446 E. Lexington St., Allentown.

Thos defendants waived their preliminary earings, but Sampson is having a full hearing. Representatives from KNBT Bank and the Emmaus Police Department, including Chief David Faust are at the hearing as witnesses.

A preliminary hearing is held to determine whether probable causes exists to continue to hold the accused.

Sampson allegedly committed the most serious act of shooting at police, although it was Maye, also known as Andre Sheppard, 32, of 446 E. Lexington St., Allentown, who allegedly pistol-whipped a bank employee, according to accounts from the District Attorney's office.
