Fatal Fire: East Penn Mourns Death of Student

East Penn School District issued a formal statement about the death of Montana Twinning, an Emmaus High School sophomore killed in a devastating apartment fire on Sunday in the Borough of Emmaus.

East Penn School District released the following statement about the death of the Emmaus High School student killed in the fire that ripped through an apartment building in the Borough of Emmaus on Sunday:

The East Penn School District is deeply saddened by the tragic apartment fire that occurred Sunday afternoon. At this time, East Penn has learned high school sophomore, Montana Twining, died of injuries sustained in the fire. 

The East Penn community is mourning the loss of Montana, his mother and the two other victims. The school district extends deepest sympathy to the Twining family at this difficult time.  Grief counseling services are available for students and staff through the high school guidance department, district Flight Team and district school psychologists.
