Emmaus Teens Charged in Cell Phone Robbery, Police Say

The Emmaus Police Department recently released the following report:

Alleged Cell Phone Robbery: Three boys—a 16-year-old from Allentown, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, both from Emmaus—have been charged with stealing the cell phones of two other boys on Feb. 11.

The three teens have each been charged with robbery, terroristic threats, theft and receiving stolen property in Lehigh County Juvenile Court, police said.

According to police, two other boys, ages 14 and 15, had reported their phones stolen while they were walking home about 6:50 p.m. in the area of Broom and Adrian streets.

Police say they spotted three teens matching the description of the suspects walking in the area of Main Street at Klines Lane. They were identified by the victims, and, police say, the two cell phones were in their possession. 

Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
