Emmaus restaurant was recently cited for allegedly violating the section of the
Pennsylvania State Liquor Code that deals with providing alcohol to minors,
according to a press release by the Bureau of Liquor Control
Enforcement Allentown office.
Fiesta Ole Mexican Restaurant, 1116 Chestnut St., allegedly sold, gave or permitted the sale of alcoholic beverages to an 18-year-old, the release says.
Charges in the incident, which the release says happened June 27, will be brought before an administrative law judge, who can impose fines ranging from $50 to $1,000 in minor offenses and up to $5,000 for major infractions.
Training on the rules associated with holding a liquor license in Pennsylvania can also be recommended.
Plus, the judge has the authority to suspend or revoke the business’s liquor license, the release says.
