Emmaus man Arrested in Jeep Spare Tire Thefts

Emmaus Police arrest Emmaus man in relation to thefts of five Jeep tires and rims valued at $2500.

The following recent incidents were released by the :

Arrested: Leon F. Leonard III, 28, 4230 S 5th St. Emmaus, for Theft and Receiving Stolen Property, on April 9. Leonard is charged in relation to the thefts of five Jeep tires and rims valued at $2500, reported between 2/28/12 and 3/7/12 at various Emmaus locations. He is also charged in relation to the theft of six sets of tires and rims valued at $6000 from Kelly Car and Truck reported 3/10/12. Finally, he is charged with the theft of five aluminum ladders valued at $1000 which were reported stolen from the 600 block of Broad St. on 4/1/12. Leonard was processed at the Lehigh County Central Booking Center and committed to Lehigh County Prison.

Arrested: Erin Kehs Crouthamel, 21, 204 Lexington Dr. Hereford, on April 1, for DUI in the 1100 block of Chestnut St. Processed at the Lehigh County DUI Center and released.

Arrested: Chitanis E. Peoples, 18, 523 Ridge St. Emmaus, for Assault, on April 5, Criminal Mischief and Underage Drinking after a disturbance at his residence. Processed at the Lehigh County Booking Center and committed to Lehigh County Prison.

Charged: A 16 year old male, student was charged on April 10 with Theft and Receiving stolen property after he was found to be in possession of a stolen laptop. Charges filed with Lehigh County Juvenile Probation.
