CVS Fire Set by Nine-year-old Boy
Surveillance video shows boy walking to display of wicker purses and setting fire to it, WFMZ reports.
A fire at the CVS Pharmacy in Emmaus earlier this week was intentionally set by a 9-year-old boy, according to WFMZ-TV.
Surveillance video showed the boy inside the store, walking by a display of wicker purses and setting fire to it, according to WFMZ reports. Sgt. Chuck Palmer, a spokesperson for the told WFMZ that the boy can't be criminally charged because of his age, but police contacted his mother who agreed to take him for a mental health evaluation.
The Lehigh County Communications Center received a call for a structure fire at 1:52 p.m. on Wednesday and the Emmaus and Vera Cruz fire departments were dispatched to the at 7th and Chestnut streets in Emmaus.
