Collection Agency Tries to Scam Emmaus Restaurants, Police Say
Attempted fraud is among recent incidents reported by the Emmaus Police Department.
A collection agency contacted three Emmaus restaurants and demanded PPL payments for accounts that were in default, according to Emmaus Police.
PPL verified that the accounts were current and that the agency was not acting on the utility company's behalf, police say.
