Car Climbs Embankment, Hits Tree in Upper Milford

Vehicle is disabled but occupants are unhurt, police say.

A Macungie-area driver recently lost control on a curve in Upper Milford Township, sending his car up an embankment and into a tree, according to police.

Fortunately, neither he nor his passenger were injured, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Marcus G. Dengler, 17, was traveling eastbound in front of 4402 Main Road West at 6:55 p.m. May 28 when he lost control on a curve, police said. His car skidded across the opposite lane, went up the embankment and struck the tree with the driver's side rear fender.

Dengler's passenger, Matt Dengler, also 17, was unhurt as well, police said.

The car had to be towed, and Marcus Dengler was cited for driving at an unsafe speed, police said.

Police also recently released the following Upper Milford incidents:

Charged: Elsye Nicole Greim, 24, of Zionsville at 11:45 p.m. June 3 with harassment; twice slapped Brandon Robert Dake, 26, of Zionsville at 7911 Corning Road, police said, following a verbal dispute.

Criminal mischief: Reported at 9:15 p.m. June 9 by John Thomas Alfonse of Zionsville; rock thrown by unknown person at his car while driving at Powder Valley Road and Route 29, police said; damage was not specified.
