Break-ins Near Vera Cruz Reported

One was to a home, another to a vehicle, state police report.

Two recent criminal activities reported to police may have residents in the Vera Cruz area of Upper Milford being extra vigilant.

The first was the theft of a CD player from a truck at 3851 Main Road East, according to . Laverne Ritter reported that someone smashed a window on a truck to gain access to the player between 11 p.m. March 26 and 9 a.m. March 27. No value was given for the player or smashed window.

In a separate report, police said an unidentified homeowner in the 2800 block of Chock Road reported a burglary about 9:30 a.m. on March 27. The homeowner returned to the home at 9:26 a.m. after hearing that an alarm had sounded there.

The homeowner found that a rear door had been opened; however, police did not say whether anything was missing or damage had been done.

Police did not say whether they are investigating these as related incidents.

They ask that anyone who might have seen suspicious activity call them at 610-395-1438.
