Allentown Woman Breaks into Upper Milford Home, Police Say

Sunday morning incident began as break-in in Upper Milford Township and ended with a DUI stop in Emmaus, according to state police.

A 25-year-old Allentown woman is charged with burglary, trespass, criminal mischief and harassment -- and is suspected of drunken driving -- after allegedly breaking into a home in Upper Milford Township Sunday, according to state police at Fogelsville and online court records.

Zahirah Yasmin Rana pushed an air conditioner through a window and entered the home in the 4000 block of Indian Creek Road at 2:50 a.m., police say. She then allegedly slapped a person there and left.

The investigation is ongoing, police say.

At 3:15 a.m., police say, Trooper Timothy J. McManus—the same state trooper called out to the Indian Creek Road case—stopped a car for an alleged traffic violation at Cedar Crest Boulevard and Harris Street in Emmaus.

Rana was driving that car, according to police, and was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving.
