5 Shrubs Stolen from Emmaus Business, Police Say

Theft at Fernrock Landscaping is among recent incidents reported by the Emmaus Police Department.

The Emmaus Police Department released the following recent incidents pertaining to the borough:

Theft: Fernrock Landscaping at S. 7th and Minor streets reports that five arborvitae shrubs were recently stolen. Overnight on June 5 someone took two arborvitae shrubs valued at $40 each. Again on June 6, someone stole three more arborvitae shrubs. The shrubs were planted in dirt and still had the root ball attached. Anyone with information is urged to call police.

Attempted burglary: The Catholic War Veterans Association at 725 Furnace St. reports that overnight on June 7 someone pried a window screen but did not get inside.

Theft from vehicle: A resident of 1116 Cold Stream Court reports that a backpack containing a MacBook Laptop computer, two T-shirts and a shaving kit were recently taken from his vehicle. He says he was moving items to his car on May 31 at about 2:30 p.m. and briefly left the vehicle unattended and unlocked. At that time, he says someone entered his vehicle and took the backpack. The items taken are valued at approximately $1,600.
