Fireworks and PTSD

I like many enjoy watching the aerial fireworks, but the loud ground ones are another story. We should respect all those who suffer from PTSD, loud noises can bring a person back to a place that they do not want to be. Also one night only, the 4th not the week before or as late as last night.

I suffer from PTSD, and I can tell you what those loud fireworks do to me--My heart skips a beat and then races, I panic, I remember things that I want to forget, I want to find a place to hide, but there are only a few places to go so I do not have to hear those loud, horrible sounds.

Please respect others, especially those who suffer from PTSD, keep the fireworks in the air where they belong--no noise, beautiful colors that all can enjoy.
