'Cinderella' Will Come to Emmaus High School This Spring

After months of anticipation, the name of the Emmaus High School Spring 2013 musical is finally announced.

Special to Emmaus Patch By Chrissy Cilento, Emmaus High School Senior

Drum roll please! After months of anticipation and nail biting on my and everyone else in the Drama Department’s parts, Emmaus High School’s spring musical has finally been announced: Rodgers and Hammerstein’s "Cinderella!"

Our theater director, Mrs. Jill Kuebler, gathered some students together on Tuesday telling us she had important news- then proceeded to explain to us why she chose the musical without actually announcing it first... it was maddening.

We sat on the edge of our seats with bated breath until the words “Cinderella” came out of her mouth - then it was as if a pile of bricks was lifted off our shoulders and we could all sleep easily again. We’ve been waiting for the announcement of our spring musical since the end of last school year, so you can see what a big deal this was for us.

For about the next week, we’ll probably chatter and discuss the decision, but then it’ll be all quiet again until auditions for "Cinderella" in January.
