Donald C. Wieder, 93, died March 28, 2012 in The Village at Willow Lane.

Donald C. Wieder, 93, formerly of Macungie, and Grand Junction Colorado for 36 years died March 28, 2012 in The Village at Willow Lane. He was the husband of Emma B. (Swank) Wieder. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in April 2011. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Alton J. and Carrie M. (Miller) Wieder. He worked for Air Products, Mack Trucks, Inc., and as a carpenter for Grand Junction School District, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Solomon’s U.C.C., Macungie, and the Macungie VFW. He honorably served his country in the Army during WWII, earning 3 Bronze stars.

Survivors: Daughter, Nancy A. wife of Larry Mory of Emmaus; Grandchildren, Denise wife of Steve Lechmanik, Todd L. and wife Amy Mory and 4 Great Grandchildren, Stefan and Nicholas Lechmanik, Jessica and Jake Mory. Brother Thomas Wieder of Kentucky. He was predeceased by 8 Brothers and 2 Sisters.

Services: Funeral Services Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11 a.m in , 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will follow in Solomon’s Union Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.schantzfh.com
