Eric S. Vogel, 31, 'Forever Remembered as Superman'

Eric S. Vogel, 31, of Macungie, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.

Eric S. Vogel, 31, of Macungie, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in the St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He was the husband of Alisa C. (Erdman) Vogel and they celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary last June. Eric, born in Sellersville, was the son of Bruce A. and Donna M. (Shearer) Vogel of Emmaus. He was a graduate of Southern Lehigh High School Class of 2000. He attended Lehigh County Vo-Tech, where he studied carpentry. Eric was an Auto Body Technician and specialized in painting at J.P. Goetz Automotive of Pennsburg for the last 5 years. One of Eric’s proudest accomplishments was when he received his Auto Appraisers License. He was a beloved member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville. Eric adored his church and all of its members. He will forever be remembered as Superman to all of his family and friends, and “Super Daddy Boy” to his beautiful daughter. His extremely strong, yet graceful spirit, and positive attitude, were an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Wife; daughter, Kamryn M. at home, parents, sister, Amber S. wife of Mike Kerschner of Allentown, nieces, Mia D. and Jordan M. Kerschner, father-in-law and mother-in-law Rick and Lauren Erdman of Macungie, brother-in-law Jeff Erdman of Macungie, paternal grandmother, Ruth Vogel of Coopersburg and maternal grandmother, Shirley Shearer of Quakertown.

10:30 a.m. Friday January 24, 2014 in the Bethany United Methodist Church 1208 Brookside Road. Wescosville. Call 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday in the church and 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Friday in the church.
