In the most contested of Lehigh County commissioner races, four Republicans are seeking their party's nomination in District 5, and two Democrats are seeking their party's nod in the May 21 primary.

In one of the most contested races in the May 21 primary, four Republican candidates are seeking their party's nomination for a Lehigh County Commissioner seat in District 5.

On the Democratic side, two candidates are seeking their party's nod for the seat.

The winners of the Republican and Democratic races will square off in the November general election for the four-year position.

District 5 includes Salisbury Township, Emmaus, Macungie, Upper Milford, Lower Milford, Coopersburg, Upper Saucon Township and parts of Allentown.
