Fond Memories are Made Through Story Time at the Library

You might want to check out story time for toddlers at our local library. It could be the place where you and your child make life-long memories too.

Thursday was my 2-year-old's first day of storytelling at the with . He and about 10 other kids his age sat on the little square carpets and learned about farms and animals. Mrs. Vines was a charismatic story teller and was great with the children. After reading a few books she passed out a coloring sheet, crayons and stickers.

Based on my observation, it seemed like all the kids had a great time. They were all well behaved, which is uncommon for a group of kids that age -- at least based on what I have noticed in other situations like this.

As I was sitting in the back with the other Moms and Dads I was reminiscing on when my Grandma took me to the South Mall for storytelling. I remember doing the same thing as my son, sitting on the little square carpets in the middle of the mall while this little old woman would read to us. I will be glad to hear when my son years from now says, “Hey Mom, remember when you took me to the Emmaus Library for story time?”
