Saturday's Emmaus Old Fashioned Christmas Schedule

There are family friendly holiday events going on all day Saturday in Emmaus leading up to the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Triangle Park at 6 p.m.

Saturday marks the official kick-off of the Christmas season in Emmaus, with the annual day-long celebration known as the Emmaus Old Fashioned Christmas. 

This year's event is sponsored by Gross McGinley LLP, according to the Emmaus Main Street Partners website

Here's the schedule for the day:

10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - Holiday Story Telling at the Emmaus Public Library

Noon - 4 p.m. - Historic Tours and Open Houses at 1803 House, Shelter House, Knauss Homestead, Emmaus Moravian Church, and Emmaus Historical Society. Enjoy free ornament-making at each location.

2 p.m. - A free showing of 'The Polar Express' at the Emmaus Theater.

3:30 p.m. - Holiday Dance Selections by Allegro Dance Studio at Triangle Park

4 p.m. - The Jerusalem Western Salisbury Handbell Choir at Triangle Park

4:30 p.m. - Lower Macungie Cadence Choir at Triangle Park

5 p.m. - Emmaus Moravian Brass Choir at Triangle Park

5:30 p.m. - Bethel Bible Fellowship Church Orchestra at Triangle Park

6 p.m. - Combined Choirs to lead the Community Sing-Along, Tree Lighting by Mayor Winfield Iobst, and the arrival of Santa & Mrs. Claus

4:30 - 6:30 pm - Refreshments at Triangle Park - Hot Roasted Chestnuts & Almonds provided by GS Cadette Troop 6056 and Cocoa & Cookies provided by the Emmaus Kiwanis Club

5 - 8 p.m. - Horse and Carriage Rides in front of Creamery on Main at the Triangle.  $7 Adults, $3 Children.
