Sesame Street Performer, John McEuen to appear in special Children's Concert
Parlor
Concerts, LLC is bringing the legendary John McEuen to McCoole’s Arts &
Events Place on Saturday, March 15, 2014 for a special 4 pm matinee performance
for children. St. Luke’s University Health Network will sponsor this
multiple-instrumentalist, made popular with children’s audiences through his
appearances on Sesame Street.
John
McEuen, founder of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, multiple grammy award winner and
a former Disneyland musician is sure to delight children in this special matinee.
Appearing later that evening in a concert performance, John promises to have a
few tricks up his sleeve for charming a young audience. Many children have
first been introduced to America’s folk music traditions through John McEuen’s
notable work with Sesame Street.
"Sounds
like a fun day," McEuen said about playing at the theater in Quakertown.
"I bring my mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and guitar and take everyone away for
a couple of hours." The intimacy of the theater in McCoole’s Arts &
Events Place includes near-stage seating and clear sightlines combined with
special attention to create the perfect listening room environment to every
seat in the diminutive 182-seat theater. "This is what I go for,"
McEuen said.
