Local Performer to Sing in Benefit for Pediatric Cancer

Star of the Day will present a pediatric cancer benefit on Thursday, November 7, 2013 as part of their monthly Spotlight Cabaret series.  The cabaret will feature Rhys Williams of Emmaus.  Rhys is a sixth grader at Lower Macungie Middle School where he sings in the chorus. He has performed in local productions at Civic Theatre, PA Playhouse and Touchstone Theater.  The evening will be musically directed by Nate Diehl.

This special event will raise money for a 2014 production of the original theatrical event THE BUTTERFLY PROJECT.  The Butterfly Project is a play with music loosely  based on the children's book 'The Butterbird.'  The show was created to help children cope with the loss of a peer due to childhood cancer.

The beautiful show combines drama, music and dance which explores the life of a little girl as she transitions from life to death and how her best friend copes with losing her.

Dreams & Wishes and The Butterfly Project will benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.
