PPL Reports 503 Customers in Emmaus Borough Without Power

A total of 878 PPL customers in Lehigh County have no electricity according to the PPL Outage Center web site.

A total of 503 customers in Emmaus Borough are without power this morning, according to the PPL outage center web site. PPL is reporting a total of 878 customers in Lehigh County are without power as of 6:26 a.m. on Wednesday.

The outage center web site doesn’t list any customers in Upper Milford Township as being affected by the outage. However, Emmaus Patch HQ lost power at approximately 2:30 a.m. and is still without power.

Neighboring customers in Upper Milford Township are without electricity as well, based on Emmaus Patch visual observation.

A text message update on the situation from PPL sent at 4 a.m. states that the outage is due to a “major event with no estimated restoration time.” There have been no further updates.
