PPL Offers Mobile Power Outage Reporting

Electric outage reporting for PPL Electric Utilities customers is now mobile-friendly.

PPL Electric Utilities customers in Emmaus Patch who endured a two-hour power outage on Tuesday morning -- thanks to a truck that drove into some power lines in the borough -- might find some irony in this news:

PPL announced Tuesday that it has a new way for its customers to report or check on a power outage.

The reporting system comes in the form of a new mobile website -- m.pplelectric.com -- that allows customers to use their smartphone or other mobile device to access and use key features of the utility's online Outage Center.
