 1.  Weather: A 20 percent chance of rain after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, with a high of 46 and an East wind of 6 mph to 11 mph. Sunrise is at 6:24 and sunset at 6:02, which gives us about 2 minutes and 41 seconds more daylight than yesterday.

2.  Bank Robbery Update: Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., the final suspect in the KNBT Bank Robbery will finally face the judge. Isaah J. Sampson, of Allentown, already had two continuances and District Judge Charles H. Crawford sais it’s unlikely he’d grant a third.

3.  In Case you Missed It: Twelve candidates are running for five seats on the East Penn School Board. Ten of the candidates cross-filed as both republicans and democrats. The primary election is May 17.

5.  Today in History: On this day in 1957, following Israel’s withdraw from Egyptian territory, the Suez Canal was reopened to international traffic. The canal connects the Mediterranean and Red Seas, and was built by the French in 1869.
