The first U.S. St.Patrick's Day Parade was held in New York City, in 1762.

 1.  Weather: A sunny St. Patrick’s Day, according to the National Weather Service, with a high of 60. Sunrise is at 7:11 and sunset at 7:10, which gives us about 2 minutes and 42 seconds more daylight than yesterday.

2. Meetings: The Upper Milford Supervisors will meet tonight at 7:30. At their last meeting, supervisors approved a mandatory hookup to the townships new sewer system.

5.  Today in History: On this Day in 1762 the first St. Patrick’s Day parade took place in New York City. The parade was held by soldiers serving in the British army. St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and is recognized for converting the Celts to Christianity.
