Emmaus Pool Will not Open for Labor Day Weekend

Emmaus Borough Manager Shane Pepe reports that the Emmaus Community Pool is officially closed for the summer.

"Unfortunately, the swimming pool will not be open for the weekend," Pepe wrote in an email message to Emmaus Patch. "The manufacturer has back-ordered the impeller for the main pool pump, thus rendering the pool inoperable for the holiday weekend. This also means that the pool is officially closed for the season, as the Labor Day holiday traditionally marks the last day for the pool to be open.

"We apologize for the inconvenience, as we made every attempt possible to expedite this process in hopes of reopening for the weekend. We would like to thank Borough residents for another fantastic summer at the swimming pool.  Unfortunately, this matter was beyond our control and we are truly disappointed that we were unable to have the pool functioning for the last weekend of the summer," Pepe wrote.
