Pool Party, Free Classic Rock Concert This Week

If you are hoping to address Emmaus Borough Council this week, you’ll need to wait until Wednesday, as the council meeting originally scheduled for Monday night has been pushed ahead a bit.

According to the Borough of Emmaus website, Borough Council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday instead of its usual Monday timeslot. The meeting will still happen in Emmaus Borough Hall. The full council meeting will be preceded by a meeting of the Budget & Finance committee at 6:45 p.m. That meeting will also occur in Council Chambers.

The Upper Milford Township Board of Supervisors will meet on Thursday in the Upper Milford Township Building at 7:30 p.m. The regular supervisors meeting is preceded by a workshop meeting at 7 p.m.

For those looking to get more involved in the happenings in and around Emmaus, the Emmaus Special Entertainment Commission meets at 2 p.m. on Thursday in borough hall.

Then, kick off the weekend a bit early with a swim and dance party at 6 p.m. Thursday in Emmaus Community Pool. DJ Dutch will spin the latest hits poolside. $1 admission to the pool after 6 p.m.

Wrap up the weekend on Sunday with a free concert in the Arts Pavilion in Emmaus Community Park. The classic rock band Bootleg Express will perform from 6 to 8 p.m.
