Burn Ban Lifted in Upper Milford

The chiefs of the two fire departments in Upper Milford Township this week rescinded a monthlong burn ban in the township effective immediately.

Upper Milford residents with large piles of branches to burn or big bags of marshmallows to roast, get ready to rejoice. You may once again take care of both concerns in the your back yard burn pits, thanks to a recent decision by the fire chiefs of both Upper Milford Township fire departments - Upper Milford Western District and Citizens Fire Company.

On April 30, by mutual agreement, the chiefs lifted a nearly four-week ban on open burning in Upper Milford Township. The ban was enacted by the chiefs on April 3.
