Emmaus zoners deny microbrewery taproom

I can't believe this. I am embarrassed to live in Emmaus. All over the US, small towns are seeking out breweries to open in their towns, with tax reliefs and other incentives. According to the PA Budget committee, PA breweries have more than a $1 billion direct  impact on the state's economy, I wonder if the same could be said for the yarn store or the 4  door knob stores in Emmaus. It's a shame that 3 people that don't represent the growing demographics in Emmaus get to choose what business can and can't operate in Emmaus. I'm sure that if  Chairman Roger Steinmayr owned the building and he could make money off of this deal there would have been a different outcome. For now Roger your boys club and your small town mentality is safe from the big bad world out there. I think the owner of Funk Brewery should open the first private club brewery, those seem to have no problems opening up in Emmaus. I wish Funk Brewery the best of luck wherever they to decide to open up shop. Mr. Funk maybe next year you can have a stand at the Emmaus beerfest, what you didn't know there was a beer fest in Emmmaus, don't worry no one else did either.
