My favorite Lower Mac park is Camp Olympic Park. Tons of open space and the Little Lehigh flows right through the middle of it.

My heart says East Texas, it was my playground growing up. The old band gazebo is a treasure but I have to agree with Scott... Potential wise.. Camp Olympic really could be a gem someday! I remember going to baseball camp there when I was kid. So glad the township acquired this property! However, since LMT patch does (rightly) include and cover the borough's I have to say Macungie Park takes it for me! Just a great park from a programming standpoint. Always something going on. Love the summer when I can walk over from work to the farmers market or hear music coming from the bandshell. (Lockridge also of course great!) Where is playground of adventures I'm unfamiliar?

The most scenic and conducive to exercise-walking is Lock Ridge Park, hands down. Only one other that is included in the poll has a walking trail, so how about generating another list where a person can get out and be immersed in the local woodlands that are in LM Patch and the surrounding "Patch" areas?

When we lived in Macungie, I'd take our beagle, Alex, to Kalmbach almost every day. When we moved and I found myself with time to burn, we returned to the park and I swear, although I can't ever be sure, that he remembered being there and still enjoyed it. I also like the Reinhard (spelling?) Bird Sanctuary which is just off Mountain Road/Church Street. It's not a dog park per se, but it is a place where you can let your well-behaved dog off-leash and not fear about motor vehicle traffic.

Tim! Love hearing about Alex! How is he? And he has wonderful taste. Kalmbach is a beautiful park.
