Upper Milford Farmers' Market Adds Sundays

Starting this month, the Upper Milford Farmers' Market will add Sunday to its weekend schedule.

Exciting things are happening for the Upper Milford Farmers' Market. In the past, the market was open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but starting this month the market will be open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well.

The convenient location on Rt. 100, just south of Emmaus and Macungie, offers a shady, open opportunity for customers to purchase their fresh, locally grown produce. Baked goods are also offered.

The farmers involved consider themselves to be "full-time." They don't have other weekly jobs. Farming IS their business.

As of August 2011, the Upper Milford Farmers' Market has three regularly participating vendors.

Market president Larry Beck of Upper Milford is surprised by the lack of vendor interest, but hopes that will increase as the word gets out.

Despite the low number of participating farmers, the variety of fruits and veggies is vast. There is no lack of produce at this market!

The Upper Milford Farmers' Market will continue through the fall and will offer gourds, pumpkins and other autumn fare.
