Pharmaceutical Company Will Bring 283 Jobs to our Area

QPSI, a pharmaceutical packaging plant based in N.J., will relocate to Lower Macungie Township.

A N.J. pharmaceutical packaging company will relocate to Lower Macungie Township and bring close to 300 jobs with it over the next three years.

QPSI, which has headquarters in Burlington, N.J., will move its packaging operations facility from Moonachie to 7570 Industrial Park Way, according to a story on WFMZ.com.

The company received assistance from the state Department of Community and Economic Development that includes, "a $500,000 Pennsylvania First grant, $100,000 in job training assistance, $566,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and a $2.25 million loan from the Machine and Equipment Loan Fund," the story says.

QPSI was founded in 1992. Its first orders were for packaging for personal care, feminine care and healthcare products which it still makes, according to its website. The company also has facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Louisiana.
