Lehigh Valley Dairy Recalls Orange Juice

The juice may contain milk, an undeclared allergen.

Lehigh Valley Dairy has issued a voluntary recall of its orange juice, the Food and Drug Administration announced.

Being recalled are gallon, half-gallon and half-pint containers of orange juice, sold under the brands Lehigh Valley, Lehigh Valley Dairy, Swiss Premium and Price Chopper.

The juice has a sell-by date of March 23, 2014, and a plant code of 42-099.

These containers of orange juice may also contain milk, the company said, noting that it would be an undeclared allergen. "People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product," the FDA said, noting that no such reactions have been reported.

The affected containers of juice were sold in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.

If you purchased one of these orange juices, return it to the place of purchase for an exchange or full refund, Lehigh Valley Dairy advised.

For additional information about the recall, call 1-800-587-2259.
