Get to Bonefish Grill. Period.

For quality seafood and a great atmosphere, this restaurant at The Lehigh Valley Mall is a must-try.

After you walk through the giant revolving door at Bonefish Grill, you’ll find a warm welcome of amber walls, large mahogany tables, and wire-and-wood cabinets filled with bottles of wine. The dining room is lit nicely with gold sconces and large globe lights that reflect off of the dark ceiling, and each member of the wait staff is dressed in a white chef coat and genuinely looks happy to be there.

The music at Bonefish really caught my ear. Their soundtrack is a fantastic, eclectic mix of artists not often heard and unknown tunes by famous artists. Music is a big part of the dining experience, and if you visit www.bonefishgrill.com, they provide a playlist for you as you browse and offer a free download from a featured artist (currently it’s Trevor Hall, whom I highly recommend).

As far as the menu goes, Bonefish is known for their great seafood.  There is a large selection of Wood-Grilled Fish, where you’re able to choose a fish (like Mahi Mahi or Chilean Sea Bass) and pair it with one of their Signature Sauces (like Chimichurri or Lemon Butter). The Sauteed & Baked section features entrées like Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine and Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout, while their Grilled Specialties list chicken, pork chops, and steaks. There are also a few salad offerings, like the Florida Cobb and the Grilled Salmon & Asparagus. And if you don’t like what you see, you can always check out the list of daily specials.

Bonefish’s most popular appetizer is their Bang Bang Shrimp, which features crispy shrimp tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce. It’s served in a heaping pile atop a bed of lettuce, and on Wednesdays you can get the delicious starter for only five bucks (happy day!).

My meal: The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer and Longfin Tilapia with Mango Salsa. The food was amazing, our waitress was incredibly nice, and the music was great. If I could give this place a 6/5, I would.
