There’s still good news for those smarting from the pain we’ve all been feeling as we’ve pulled up to the gas pump over the last year or so – gas prices are down a smidge from where they were last week, according to gasbuddy.com
And, once again, you can fill up your tank for less in Emmaus than you can in the rest of the state and in other parts of the Lehigh Valley.
Where are you finding a good deal on gas these days? Tell us in the comments below.
Wednesday night, the Gas Buddy Web site listed the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the United States as $3.286. The average price in Pennsylvania came up about 20 cents higher, at $3.481 per gallon. Last night, the current average price of a gallon of gas in Allentown was $3.471.
Based on the numbers posted on Gas Buddy, it still makes economic sense to fill your tank up in Emmaus, where at least three gas stations are listing prices that fall below both Allentown and state averages this week.
Here are the three best gas prices in the 18049 zip code based on Wednesday night’s numbers:
- $3.41 Hess, 4002 Chestnut St. (PA-29) and Colebrook Avenue
- $3.41 Turkey Hill, 602 Chestnut St. and S. 6th Street
- $3.46 7-Eleven, 1146 Chestnut St. and S. 12th Street
