Fuller will replace Michael Moxley on the Democratic ballot. Moxley won the Democratic slot during the spring primaries and has since decided to withdraw from the November general election.
Fuller explains, in a
prepared statement, that she originally decided not to run for a fourth term on
the board because there were four open seats on the nine-member board and
four candidates she describes as “pro-education” looking to fill those seats –
Moxley, and fellow Democrat Ziad Munson and incumbents Alan Earnshaw and
“At the conclusion of this term,” Fuller says, “I will have spent 12 years in service to the district and was content to have other motivated individuals step in. But now, with Michael Moxley’s departure, I am more than willing to enter the race to do what I can to preserve the quality of education that our district offers.”
