Emmaus Arts Commission Student Horror Film Festival Competition Kick-Off

Call for Entries! The 2011 Student Horror Film Festival competition kicks off at 6:00 p.m. on October 13 at the East Penn School District Administration Building, Emmaus High School. Teams compete in 2 divisions: middle school and high school. ($10 per team entry fee.) Using assigned story elements, the student-teams are given 96 hours to conceptualize, write, shoot, and edit an original 6-minute (maximum length) horror film. Final films are to be delivered to Emmaus Borough Hall October 17, between 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning team in each division. The public is invited to view the final films during the 6th Annual Student Horror Film Festival finale, to be held at the Emmaus Theater on October 30th at 2:00 p.m. The awards ceremony immediately follows. Cost is $3.00 per person at the door to attend this frightening event! Student team members are invited to the screening free of charge.
