A Honey of a Holiday

For Adults and Families

Beeswax is special and its value is not only to bees. This natural substance with innumerable uses is a byproduct of honey making that is collected when beekeepers cut off the wax caps from each honeycomb cell. Its color is mostly
determined by the type of plants from which the bees collect nectar and it has a delightful fragrance of honey, flower nectar and pollen. Only about 10,000 tons are produced annually world-wide and that’s not much for a world population of almost 7 billion people! We have some and we’re eager to share! You can add its lovely scent to your home or a personal touch to your Christmas tree with the easy to make beeswax ornaments we’ll create during this program for adults and families with children over 10 years-old. Advance registration is required. Max: 20. Fee: $7 each
